Build a clear job description about the role that we are working on, essential skills, desirable attributes, time frame, salary, benefits, personality, progression, competitors..... Ensure that our fee system is clear, understood and excellent value for money. Every client and every role is different so it's important that the Fee is fair and in proportion to the work involved in filling the vacancy. We visit. It is vital for us to see your business first hand. How else can we sell your role to potential candidates? Sometimes we make a discreet visit as a paying guest, sometimes it's a formal meeting with the rest of the team. We pay for the advertising. We will place ads in newspapers, trade press, online, outside our High Street offices, via our database of contacts and occasionally more unusual ways of advertising such as leaflets, banners and head hunting. We screen the response, and check the CV's. We meet the candidates, hold first interviews, and present the results to you. We can arrange first interviews between candidates and you at a time that is convenient. We assist in setting up a working interview so you can see the candidate in action. If you decide that one of the candidates is suitable we can work with you to make a suitable offer that ensures you don't pay over the odds. Occasionally a well thought out benefit / perk / bonus can knock thousands of a basic salary. A mis-guided attempt at negotiating can leave a candidate feeling insulted and undervalued and unlikely to consider joining your team. Consult with us we have years of experience in handling negotiations and obviously have by now met the candidate on numerous occasions. Should our negotiations be successful we can help arrange start dates and referencing and of course ensure that your candidate is "off the market" and has handed in their notice. At this point you still have not paid a penny. No charge for any of these services. You could reject all the candidates and walk away without incurring any cost. Only once our candidate has started and is through the initial qualifying period are you liable for the pre agreed fee. And if they then leave?
